Videos

Videos play an important role in providing information to parents and teachers on Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder. Students who have learning disabilities often are often better visual learners. I have provided you with five excellent videos that have been produced by some of the experts in the field.

Barkley, Russell A. A New Look at ADHD: Inhibition, Time and Self Control. New York: Guildford Publications, Inc. 2000.

Dr. Barkley proposes a new theory of ADHD. This new theory proposes that ADHD is fundamentally a disorder of self-regulation, not attention. Viewers see how this theory addresses such symptoms of: impulsive behavior, problems with managing time effectively, emotional volatility, lack of foresight, impaired problem-solving abilities. Video comes with a manual and teacher’s guide. This video is recommended for parents of newly diagnosed children and to adults with ADHD. The video can be used in CHADD meetings, in parent support groups, and in-service training.
