Ms. Mary M. Silgals I am a 1975 graduate of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky with a BA in Education. I completed a certificate course in paralegal studies at Trident Technical College in 2002. In August 2004, I received my Masters in Library and Information Science from The College of Library and Information Science at the University of South Carolina. I finished a Master Degree in Education in Technology from Lesley University in 2009. I worked as a volunteer in the school library for six years. Beginning in 2001, I worked for Trident Academy part time for three years. I became the full time librarian in August 2004. I am a member of the American Library Association (ALA), South Carolina Association of School Librarians (SCASL), Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), and Phi Theta Kappa Honorary Society. My work on the Internet includes: a web directory of children's literature for children with learning disabilities, a pathfinder on Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, and a portfolio of work can be found at a My Stuff. |
